Indoor Electric Grill

Barbecue fans such as I get melancholic during winter, sitting at home watching the raindrops fall on the window and fantasizing on a smoking grill drizzling with prime rib fat. Well, gloom no longer, barbecue fans, because Indoor electric grill is here for the rescue. For me, the possibility to enjoy an indoor dinner get-together when thunder and lightning strike outside, and at the same time feast on a sizzling steak rather than settle for the typical wider food (soups, heavy pot stews etc). Its like dancing on both weddings at the sametime, its like having your cake and eating it too, or rather your steak.

In any case, indoor electric grills make all that joy possible. Several models exist and are generally divided into two categories: open grills that look and function much like thew typical outdoor grill, and contact indoor electric grills that grill both sides at the same time using a two sided grill or a cover that grills the top side of foods simultaneously.

Leading brands in the indoor electric grill category are George Foreman offering a nice selection of grills ranging from budget to medium price, Sanyo offering mostly open grill models and of course Cuisineart with their trademark high-end design and high-tec looks.
The fun with indoor electric grills does not stop at steaks. You can use them to make pressed Panini just like someone else’s mama used to make, grilled seafood and vegetables for those trying to reduce waist-line perimeter. Indoor grills hold other benefits such as ease of use and easy cleaning (especially compared to outdoors charcoal grills), and health benefits such as grease drainage systems.

There is one thing that needs clarification here: You will not, I repeat, not get the same smoke-flavoured, aroma-raising juicy result a charcoal grill produces with an electric indoor grill. Life cannot be that perfect, sorry folks. But if your only option in wintertime is the pasta/soup/heavy cooking that goes along with winter, the inddors grill might just be your best friend.
